Thinking about Classes for Next Spring?

Class registration is here once again! We would like to highlight a couple course offerings from the English department for this Spring!
EN 3685 Scriptwriting (4 credits)
Tues/Thurs 2:00 – 3:40
taught by Paul Rogalus
This is an Advanced Study in Writing course which focuses on the writing and analysis of dramatic scripts, primarily of theatrical plays, but also with brief coverage of screenplays. You do NOT need any previous experience at all in the writing of plays or screenplays for this course. In fact, the course can also be helpful for fiction writers looking to improve their dialogue writing, or poets interested in writing monologues or performance pieces.
EN 3125 Advanced Composition (4 credits)
Tues/Thurs 12 – 1:40
taught by Rebecca Grant
In Advanced Composition students will have the opportunity to further their writing skills through focused development of clarity, force, and fluency, especially in the writing of expository, critical, and argumentative prose. In this course, we will have dedicated time to work on individual writing goals and share work in progress with our classroom community for feedback. The goal of this course is to meet students where they are in terms of their writing, to provide support and structure to advance individual writing goals, and to consider our work in light of contemplative and thoughtful practice.
Consider signing up for one (or both!) of these great classes! They are both open to students of all majors.
